Vintage Hairstyling

All classes are one-on-one, online, via zoom with Pro Stylist, Jessi B. Each hairstyle, depending on  skill level, is $85/hr.

2 - 2.5 hours PER hairstyle is typically recommended. Students can choose to learn 1 or 2 hairstyles just for  knowledge or  3 hairstyles + for a certificate. You will also receive a discounted clip-in hairpiece with your certification to add to your styling kit.

 

A 50% non refundable deposit will be collected to hold the class date and the remaining 50% will be collected the day prior to the scheduled class. Each student will learn tools, products, and technique and all students are welcome to use a live model or a mannequin head and also choose any vintage hairstyle(s) from any time period. Everyone is welcome regardless of hair length or texture.

FAQ

Do I need to be a pro hairstylist?
-No, you do not need to be a pro stylist to take this course. You do, however, need to know how to part hair and use a curling iron (if you choose to learn with heat)

What will I learn?
-You can choose any hairstyle you would like to learn. You can also choose to learn with a wettest or a modern day curling iron to achieve your selected style. In the class, you will learn tools, products, and technique. 

What tools and products will I need for the class?
-You will be sent a shopping list of tools and products prior to the class. Most items can be found online or at your local beauty supply.

How long is the class?
-I recommend at LEAST 2.5 hours PER hairstyle. This means, if you already have a familiarity with vintage hairstyling, learning a pageboy shouldn't take longer than about 2.5 hours. If you are still a beginner, I may suggest 3 - 3.5 hours. This all depends on the hairstyle and your skill level.

How can I achieve a certificate?
-You must book and learn 3 - 5 styles for a basic styling certificate. You can learn 6-8 styles for an intermediate certificate. You can learn 9 styles plus for a Pro certificate.  Each certification comes with a clip-in hairpiece of your choice.

What dates are available for my private class?
-We will work the scheduling out based on availability. You can book up to 3 week to 6 months in advance with your 50% deposit. You must complete your tools/product shopping prior to your class date.
